It was a little run down but good value, and great for a night or even two.

Nice location . Poor dinner and service
Large comfortable room great location overlooking the lake
Was charged for a couple of beverages - the waiter didn’t seem to know what he was doing . Asked for a white tea and got a tea bag with cold water and milk ( was charged for this on the room bill) . Was offered a “ free brewed coffee when a little milk was added also charged for the coffee on the room . The dinner was not good - left most of it uneaten .

Lovely place to relax, but don't rely on the WiFi
There's lots to like about this lakeside hotel. The location is fabulous and the solarium and swimming pool were lovely to relax around. It certainly looks like it's one of the best options in this and the surrounding area, but it should be, given that it's got four stars. Yes, the staff that we interacted with were great, very friendly and helpful; the breakfast and the food that we ordered from the restaurant in the evening was all very tasty; the room we chose was large with a good balcony; the bed was comfortable and the water was hot. The problem however was the WiFi - more later. It is for this reason that we can only give a score of 9. Still a decent score, so do come and enjoy the place, just don't expect the WiFi to be anything other than frustrating.
The WiFi! Nowadays, at least where geography allows, this should be considered a 'must'. We found it to be so annoyingly variable. Sometimes it worked well, but other times it was just so intermittent as to make it hopeless. And this was just for emails and browsing; we didn't even try to stream anything.
